WPSF Scholar Stories

Ken Bui

“Since the outbreak, my daily routines have changed the most. I'm struggling to find a routine that fits me from day to day. The isolation is difficult but I feel that I'm doing a good job at finding things to keep me occupied. School is now entirely online which I am not accustomed to. A lot of my peers are doing class through zoom. However, all of my professors have decided to not do classes through zoom. My professors have been recording their lectures and uploading it online for us to view whenever. Labs have been difficult as they're now online simulations. I'm worried about this summer. I was anticipating to participate in a summer internship or to be taking summer classes. The internships I've applied to have all been canceled and the summer classes feel ambiguous. My parents are working as normal but things feel a lot tenser at home.”
