The Leopold Joseph Dreiling Memorial Scholarship represents a meaningful opportunity for students in the Westminster Public School District to honor the enduring legacy of Leopold Joseph Dreiling, an individual characterized by his boundless compassion and unwavering dedication. Leopold's kind-hearted nature extended to his roles as a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Renowned for his altruism, Leopold tirelessly extended a helping hand to those in need, leaving an indelible mark within his community; he was selflessly committed to serving others. Throughout his high school years, Leopold actively engaged in sports, actively contributed to his family's business, and worked at a local restaurant. Leopold excelled in academics, graduating with a 3.2 GPA, and was in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Although presented with a scholarship for collegiate engineering pursuits, Leopold chose to embark on immediate employment, eventually finding his place in a pharmaceutical plant making medicines for a variety of ailments. Leopold lived by his senior quote, "Thrive under pressure and surpass expectations."

Scholarship Amount: $2,000 (non-renewable) 

Eligibility: 

  • 3.0 GPA or higher 
  • Must be involved in extracurricular activities (band, sports, student council, etc.)
