Peierls Scholarship
About the Peierls Scholarship
The Peierls Scholarship was created by Jeff Peierls and his brother with the belief that all students should have an opportunity to pursue a higher education. This scholarship is aimed at those attending an institution in the Denver Metro Area.
Quantity: 5- 7 Awards
Scholarship Amount: $10,000 distributed over 4 years or $2,500 distributed over 2 years
Eligibility:
- US Citizenship not required
- 2.75 minimum GPA
- Open to Latinx, African American, or students of Native American descent.
- Applicant must identify as a First-Generation college student
- Applicant must be pursuing a degree and/or certificate at Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado Denver, Red Rocks Community College, or Front Range Community College
- Applicant must be a low-income student OR qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch
